I just got my customized 9700 blinged case from ShopBlingMeUp. WOWeeee, this thing is the real deal. Very well made and they even included a case with extra crystals and glue in case any fall off. The Hello Kitty head on the back is a bit heavy but I don't mind it, it is actually expensive and cool feeling lol. You can see the larger images from my flickr account. Don't Drool On Your Keyboard!

Liana gave us a peek of her pinked out 9700 on Twitter today, parts from Truesupplier.com. She used the baby pink keyboard and bottom piece and fuchsia bezel and battery door. I haven't changed my housing *yet*. I always promise myself I will leave the thing how it is when I get a new device, but well you know how long that lasts... :-/

Did I mention I finally got the 9700?

I know this thing has been out for a while now, but my upgrade price was pretty high with T-Mobile since I got the 8900 about a year ago. I held off until about a week ago when I just couldn't take it anymore and stopped by a T-Mobile store. I hadn't been keeping up with plan/device news and I guess they have all these new no contract plans now. I ended up having to only pay about $50 right there and they split the remaining balance of the phone up onto my monthly bill for the next like 19 months. Anyways, this thing is awesome and the best BlackBerry I've ever had. The trackpad feels iPhone-ish and you can pound out emails the comfortable keyboard way easier than the 8900's. I will slowly be converting premium themes for the 9700, but of course there is the theme club for it too.

Color ID Lite- Change your LED light color!

One thing I miss about the Sidekick 2 was that you could assign the trackball to blink different colors according to what type of message you had. This application takes it one step further. You can assign your LED to blink a certain color depending on WHO is emailing/texting/calling you. Oh, and it is a FREE download right now. My favorite color is the 'disco' option that blinks all the colors really fast, maybe for that special someone?

Oh, and you don't need to enter each person's contact in the application. Go to your address book, go to the contact, hit menu, and select ADD TO COLOR ID and it will take you to the color selector. So easy!

The 9700 & Themes...

As most of you know (or may not know?), the delicious BlackBerry Bold 9700 is now out for T-Mobile (soon for At&t). Some of you already got your hands on this 3G baby and are reporting no problems using 8900 and Tour themes on them. The price is probably a bit steep for us T-Mobile users since most of us upgraded earlier this year for the 8900. My upgrade price is over $415 (with 2 year extension), and it is $199 with a new contract. I will for sure be getting this one soon though. It seems like the perfect device right? 3G, 3.2 megapixel camera, WiFi, touchpad, and the original Bold 9000's soft cushy keyboard, what more could you want?? :)
