Modded Berrys

Tara's Bold

Tara got her housings from Truesupplier.com. She used the white lens sticker lens with the white keyboard, paired with the electroplate bezel and battery cover. Tara said all the parts are very durable and the electroplates aren't scratch magents like they'd seem to be. Nice touch with the colored trackball as well. Thanks Tara!

Lauren's 8900

Lauren also got her white housing from Truesupplier.com. The white 8900 housing paired with a hot pink skin and Lisa Frank theme makes her Berry unique! Thanks Lauren!

SMS Alert Popup App is the Bee's Knees!

I'm not really an application-buyer kind of girl, but this one is a must-have for texters. When you receive a text message, a pop-up preview will display on whatever screen you are on. You have the option to reply right from there or ignore it. So simple, yet so necessary! There is a trial version (which I have been using for several days), but it is only $3.99. You have to download the Empower Central app first and through there it is actually only $1.99 right now. They email you the OTA link to your phone or Desktop Manager download (for the trial).

Paris Goes Pink & Sparkly

Claire found a close up pic of Paris' Bold and she has a rhinestone sticker of Tinkerbell on the back!

Then in the same pictures she has this blinged BB as well.

She Would Be Beautiful

Truesupplier has the complete pink Bold housing now and it's glorious and everything I thought it would be. It's about $50, but word on the street is that the lens on the bold is a pain in the you-know-what to change. Regardless, with the black lens, this would look good. I slapped a theme screenshot on it and I'm about 10 minutes away from clicking "add to cart." Let me know if you get this housing, because we all want to see!

Pink Seidio Innocase II 8900 Case Review

This was my favorite case for the 8300. It's a bit pricey, but I just got it for the 8900 as well. It's $29.99 from the Seidio website, but I found it for a little cheaper on ebay. They sold these in some Verizon stores for the 8330. It has a velvety smooth texture and is very sturdy. It comes in a few other colors. I like the case a lot, but the big logo on the back and how you can see the bottom piece is a turnoff. Don't know if it is really worth $30, but I will probably be using it a lot!

THEME CLUB MEMBERS

PLEASE keep an eye on your spam mail folder (especially gmail users). I have the same list of email addresses when I send the themes out every set and if you don't get them, it's because your spam settings filter them out. Add my email to your address book to keep them out of there.

Accessory Roundup!

The first thing I do after coffee in the a.m. is check for new BlackBerry stuff (duh). Truesupplier.com has the complete 8900 housings now for only $39.00! They have several colors too. That's a good deal too because I paid $30 for just the bezel and battery door. This includes the keypad and top lens.

Word on the street the lens on the Bold is almost impossible to change. That's the only thing that has discouraged me from changing to the totally white housing I posted earlier. Well now Truesupplier had a Lens STICKER that you put over the screen to make the look complete without taking apart the lens.

Pink 8900 Bezel & Battery Door

My pink bezel and back door arrived yesterday from truesupplier.com I installed it and it looks awesome I love it! I sanded the paint off the middle bar because I don't like how it separates the colors. I think I might get the pink keyboard too. If you haven't been to truesupplier.com yet, check it out. They have the most housings/colors/devices of any store. HUGE selection. They're in Hong Kong, so shipping takes a little while. I even had to go to the post office to sign for it.

Theme Club

Sorry for any problems experienced regarding the theme club! I have some kinks to work out and have temporarily stopped new sign ups for the OTA club. If you already signed up and have not received anything please email me (nancydrewthemes@yahoo.com) or also if you have had any trouble downloading the OTA links. Thank you and sorry again!

A Few Helpful Hints...

Where's the Call Log/Phone Icon?

The new device (9000 & 8900) themes have hidden the call log icon. But you can get it back!

1.) Go into your Application folder icon on your main screen.

2.) Hit Menu and then select "Show All".

3.) The phone icon will appear dulled out at the bottom of the list of icons.

4.) Highlight the dulled phone icon and hit Menu again.

5.) Select "Hide" with the check mark next to it.

6.) Then move it to the home screen to where you want it (Menu > Move)

Getting the Default Wallpaper Back in a Theme

Sometimes themes have different wallpapers on the home and icon screens. If you change wallpapers, the icon wallpaper won't change back when you try to set it back to default. To get it back:

1.) Go into Options > Theme

2.) Highlight the theme you want to reset the wallpaper

3.) Hit Menu and then "Reset Theme Defaults"

(You might have to switch to a different theme and back for it to change back)
